The MCL team offers a wide range of skills and experience in transport planning and management, research, finance, administration and IT systems.
Achievements
ISO9001, Stem – Blue / Silver / Gold, Cyber Essentials
The Team achieved ISO9001 in 2014 and has renewed it annually since, the latest being with the new 2015 standard. MCL has achieved Gold Level Standard in STEM (Steps to Environmental Management). This reflects the fact that we have measured our carbon footprint and taken measures to reduce it. We had to identify the resources, legal requirements, training and communication required to establish our environmental programme. MCL achieved IASME Cyber Essentials Standards in 2021 and have continued to renew our certification every year since.
Anne ClarK – (FCCA, FCILT, MIoD)
Managing Director
Project Director. Accountant and administrator with 15 years experience as Financial Director in the bus industry prior to joining MCL in 2003. Financial systems, Concessionary travel scheme administration, Project Management, Client Co-ordination.
Wayne Brathwaite – (BSc/Hons, MILT)
Technical Operations Director
Senior Consultant/Project Manager with over 20 years experience of public transport and traffic management. Transport Management & Logistics degree from Aston University. Concessionary Travel, additional capacity cost claims assessments, ticketing and data systems, data extraction and analysis, smart cards, smart ticketing.
Kevin Hawkins – (CMILT)
Commercial Director
Extensive bus industry experience at a strategic level with network planning, service analysis, bus ticketing and operational skills. Over 30 years of experience with Arriva Southern Counties, culminating as Regional Commercial Director. Joined MCL in November 2015.
Dennis Yau – (CMILT)
Strategy and Development Director
Dennis was a previous Senior Commercial Head in the Public Transportation industry with Regional Board management level experience with Arriva, where he looked after Kent, Surrey, Hertfordshire and Essex areas. Considered by Arriva as their National expert for Concessionary schemes, he also has a great deal of experience in negotiation, commercial modelling, route costing, contract bidding, fares and vehicle optimization. He has a MSC in Economics and Finance from the University of York.
Mandy Turner
Secretary / Receptionist
A background in Art with an HND in Photography at the Swansea College of Arts. Over 20 years’ experience in Office Administration and Bookkeeping within a variety of industries from photo libraries to universities.
Robbie O’Brien – (BA/Hons, MSc, CMILT)
Revenue & Data Systems Team Leader
Transport planner with a background in Geography. Transport Planning and Management master’s degree from Westminster University. Leading the Data Processing Team.
Rob Bragg – (MAAT)
Revenue & Data Systems Deputy Team Leader
Completed his Accounting Technician qualification and currently studying for CIMA. Team member and deputy leader, analysing data produced through the system to ensure integrity and continuity, financial analysis.
Wolfgang Bokelmann – (MILT)
Transport Analyst
Consultant. Transport Planner with a background in Geography. 20+ years experience in the UK and Europe. Accessibility planning, market, patronage and revenue analysis, Network and service development.
Harry Gingell – (MAAT)
Revenue & Data Systems Assistant
Started as an Apprentice with MCL from September 2017. After completing Association of Accounting Technician’s professional examinations, has remained as a Team member.
Edward Flowers
Revenue & Data Systems Assistant
Apprentice with MCL from September 2019. Studying Association of Accounting Technician’s professional examinations.
James Searle
Revenue & Data Systems Assistant
Started an apprentice with MCL in August 2023. James has A-Levels in Maths and Business Studies, currently working towards an AAT Accounting Level 2 certification. James has a passion for accountancy, and building a career in the finance industry. MCL has given James the opportunity to build his career and become a valuable member of the accounts team. James will be analysing revenue through data systems.
Damion Booty – (BCS, MCP)
IT Support Manager
A decade of IT Support experience, with a background in Systems Development, Desktop Support, VOIP Systems and Website Development. Qualified BCS IT Infrastructure Technician, Microsoft Certified Professional.
