Congratulations

Congratulations.... To our two apprentices Shaun and Harry (see our MCL Team page) who have passed their exams. Shaun has successfully passed his ACCA Ethics and Professional Skills module, studying day release at Brighton University and Harry has passed his Level 3 Association of Accounting Technicians Diploma, studying at Sussex Downs College. They will both enjoy a break over the summer before continuing with the next steps.

MCL welcomes their second Apprentice

MCL is pleased to welcome from 1st September 2017, Harry Gingell. Harry will be studying the Association of Accounting technician qualification at Sussex Downs College and working as part of the Claims Team.

MCL are delighted to have been appointed as administrators to the Hampshire Scheme, having lost them in 2011. It is nice to renew acquaintances with old partners and bring the experience of the past 5 years to the scheme.

2017/18 Guidance and Calculator issued by DfT

The new Guidance has been issued and can be found on our resources page under the heading Concessionary Travel above. The Guidance is practically the same as 2016/17 with an updated paragraph on Inflation (page 110 replacing page 69) and an updated table of Reimbursement Factors with no change in fares since 2005/06 (page 36). The Calculator reflects inflation changes and increased mileage and hourly costs.

MCL welcomes Kevin Hawkins

MCL Transport Consultants is pleased to announce that Kevin Hawkins will be joining them as Commercial Director on the 23rd November 2015. Kevin, previously Regional Commercial Director, Arriva Southern Counties, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company. Anne Clark, Managing Director said “we look forward to Kevin joining our small specialist team and hope that his knowledge will enable us to expand our services to our local authority clients and offer new services to bus operators”.

MCL All Client Meeting 2015

MCL's All Client Meeting was held on Friday 13th November 2015 at the Institute of Directors, Pall Mall, London. Several clients enjoyed a day of explanations of the DfT Calculator, challenges and claims and MCL's forecasting methods. A good lunch was had by all.

MCL Update June 2015

The Team at MCL is pleased to complete another year's accounts and Annual Reports. A small number of Operator challenges are still in process but otherwise the 2015/16 year has begun smoothly. We are working with our partners Euclid and Unicard on developing multi-operator ticketing schemes, where MCL uses its expertise in the reimbursement area. We have our staff summer gathering in July and look forward to using the new facilities at Seaford Head Golf Club.
